DNCDigs.com is a site that helps match Democratic National Convention attendees with Charlotte-area homeowners who wish to rent their houses. This site was created by Charlotteans for visitors to our city. We are not affiliated with the DNC.FAQ
Q: What does an ad include?
A: Your ad runs as long as you wish, and you can activate/deactivate as often you like. Once you purchase an ad, you will get access to helpful rental info and a sample lease.
Q: What is the success rate of your ads?
A: Once you create an ad, prospective tenants contact you directly. What we do is ensure that our site comes up in search engines when people search for DNC rentals in Charlotte so that prospective tenants can find you. But our clients don't inform us if they've found a renter -- they simply deactivate their ads. That said, we do know of at least a few homes that have rented from our site.
Q: Do you provide a lease, or any management services?
A: No, we are a "self-serve" site that allows homeowners to advertise properties & people to search for them. However, once you have found a tenant for your home, we have several property managers in our "Vendors" section who could help you, or alternatively, please feel free to email us and we can point you in the right direction.
Q: What rental rate should I choose for my home?
A: We can't really suggest a rental rate -- it varies widely on a lot of factors. Your best bet is to search for properties on our site & compare what other homeowners are asking. Remember, no matter what rent rate you choose, it's always negotiable and prospective renters will still most likely contact you even if you choose too high a rate. Also, you can raise or lower the rate(s) on your ad anytime you like.
Q: Where is my ad?
A: To be fair to everyone, the ad order is randomized each day. "Featured" ads always appear first (highlighted in blue) followed by the rest of the paid ads, in random order. You can view all ads by clicking View all rentals under "Search rentals" in the menu above. Or, you can click Search rentals and enter parameters that fit your home (i.e. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, within 2 miles of convention site).
