Internet, Phone + Cable
Almost every potential DNC 2012 tenant is going to want to know about internet access and possibly phone use. Please consider your system and make adjustments to it prior or to your DNC rental guest arrival.
Providing Wireless Internet is practically a must:
If your Internet has a secure connection you will want to provide rental guest with access and passwords. You should consider creating passwords just for this use. Leave instructions in your house on how to get onto the internet.
Phone usage: To protect yourself from unexpected bills you should make arrangements for your phone to block long distance or international calls without special arrangements. You won’t want to receive a huge bill a month after the DNC .
Cable: Many homeowners may have “Pay Per View” options on their televisions. We recommend that you disclose any limitations on their use to your tenants and consider putting a security code on your system to prevent misuse. If you want to offer this as an amenity, then make sure you leave a cost sheet in your house and establish any charge backs that they will incur.
Prior to Returning or Refunding Rental Security Deposits we recommend you contact your providers and check your bills.
